Sarcoma Foundation 1212 was  founded in honor of our hero, and was launched on the 15/07/2023 in Durban, South Africa.

Our research revealed a lack of awareness about the various types of sarcomas and a scarcity of foundations supporting this disease worldwide. The primary catalyst for establishing Sarcoma Foundation 1212 was Revantha Patel, diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma (RDM), a sarcoma consisting of cells that typically develop into skeletal muscles. Regrettably, Revantha could not realize her dream of founding this organization or chronicling her experience in a published book before her passing. In her memory, this foundation, a non-profit organization, has been created to raise awareness, impart knowledge, support families, provide financial aid for treatment and medication to those in need, and fund sarcoma research. As the first registered sarcoma foundation in South Africa, our goal is to assist families facing challenges similar to ours.
